US Treasury Secretary Claims Iran Faces Economic Isolation, Rights Groups Denounce Psychological Warfare

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that the United States stands resolutely with its allies to ensure Iran cannot exploit the global financial system. He added that the U.S. will not cease its efforts until all remaining financial arteries to Iran are severed.
Bessent claimed that the European Union has officially joined the “economic isolation” trend against Iran. This assertion, in the current context, appears to be more a component of the United States’ psychological warfare against Tehran than a true indication of Washington’s actual capability to isolate Iran’s economy.
These remarks come at a time when, despite imposing extensive sanctions, the United States has been unable to fully isolate Iran’s economy or cut off all its financial channels. The claims by U.S. officials regarding achieving such a goal are largely promotional and part of psychological warfare.
