According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, according to the Iraqi Waa news agency, the Iraqi Defense Minister went to the border strip with Syria this Saturday.
In a statement, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced: Iraqi Defense Minister Thabit Mohammad al-Abasi visited the Iraqi border with Syria to visit Iraqi army units and border guards.
Before this, Iraqi government spokesman Bassem al-Awadi announced: An Iraqi delegation headed by Hamid al-Shatari, head of the Iraqi intelligence service, met with the new Syrian officials in Damascus. And the two sides discussed and exchanged views on various issues of Syria and Iraq, especially security issues and protection and guarding of the borders of the two countries.
