reports Mehr News Agency That the tariff war against China has threatened to impose a 2 % tariff because of what he called “retaliatory measures”.
In his latest executive order, Trump has ordered a comprehensive national security investigation into the import of rare minerals to the US Department of Commerce in his latest executive order. The decree also provides a description of the tariffs announced on April 7.
The White House said in a statement: China is currently facing a 5 % tariff on imports to the United States as a result of its retaliatory measures. From the very first day, Trump began the “US First” trade policy to bring back to America (Trump’s election slogan).
In another part of the statement, more than 5 countries have so far contacted to negotiate new business agreements. As a result, in the middle of these negotiations, the higher tariffs that have been applied separately have already been stopped.
The statement did not mention the accurate tariff rate that China has faced, but implicitly increased by 5 %.
China increased customs duties on imports of American goods to 5 %. Trump, as the beginning of this trade war, raised tariffs on Chinese imports to 5 %, but suspended tariffs on other countries for five days.
