Signing a Memorandum between Ukraine and the US to cooperate in the minerals sector

This Memorandum of Understanding can pose the basis for the development of strategic partnerships in important minerals, especially the rare elements needed for advanced industries and green technologies.

US officials have not officially published more details of the memorandum, but analysts see it as part of Western efforts to reduce dependence on Chinese resources and reinforce Ukrainian industrial infrastructure after the war.

However, the Trump administration approach to the Ukrainian minerals in exchange for Washington’s former military aid to Kay Yaf has raised concerns.
