According to the English section of Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, Sky News reported that the meeting of foreign ministers from the UK, France, Germany, and Ukraine—scheduled for today (Wednesday) in London—has been postponed due to US Secretary of State marco Rubio’s decision to cancel his trip to London.
The outlet stated that while the talks were initially planned at the foreign minister level, they will now proceed with senior officials from the five mentioned countries.
Sky News added that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, who still plans to travel to London, is expected to meet with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy.
Earlier, Axios reported citing sources from this American news site that Washington expects Kyiv’s response regarding Donald Trump’s latest proposal for resolving the Ukraine war following an April 23 meeting in London.
Axios noted that Trump’s “final proposal” was drafted on a single page and delivered during an April 17 meeting in Paris attended by British, American, and French delegations. The report highlighted that this proposal includes a stipulation requiring Ukrainian President volodymyr Zelenskyy to make “major concessions.”
