Start of Russia’s 3-day ceasefire with Ukraine
While Russia’s 3-Day Ceasefire with Ukraine Begins,Kyiv Calls It a “Laughable Show”
According to teh English section of the Webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and France 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s order for a three-day ceasefire with Ukraine took effect today, Thursday. The Kremlin stated this move would “test” Kyiv’s readiness for peace, but Ukraine dismissed it as a “laughable show.”
The media reported that Putin’s directive for the ceasefire began today. Ukraine criticized Russia’s truce—implemented on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day (May 9, marking WWII victory)—as a farce and demanded a complete cessation of hostilities.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reiterated his call for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia in remarks made yesterday.
