CNN Washington and Tehran near comprehensive agreement
According too the English section of webangah News Agency, CNN reported—citing knowledgeable sources—that the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran are nearing a comprehensive deal that could be signed in the next round of talks.
The sources did not provide details but claimed that upcoming negotiations between the two sides will likely take place in the Middle east.
These developments come as consultations to resolve contentious issues, particularly regarding nuclear matters and sanctions, have intensified between Iran and the U.S. in recent weeks.
The fifth round of indirect talks between Iran and America was held on May 23 in Rome, mediated by Oman.
The Iranian delegation was led by Foreign Minister seyed abbas araghchi, accompanied by Deputy Political Affairs Chief Majid Takht Ravanchi, Legal Deputy Kazem Gharibabadi, and Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh. they met with the U.S. team headed by Washington’s senior negotiator Steve Vietkauf.
The talks took place at the residence of Oman’s ambassador in Rome, highlighting Muscat’s pivotal role in facilitating this process.
