Tel Aviv Finance Ministry: “We Won’t Fund Ammunition Resupply for Israel
According to webangah News Agency, the hebrew-language site Ynet reported that the Israeli regime’s Finance Ministry has opposed increasing the budget for military equipment procurement by its army.
The report highlights intense disagreements between Israel’s Defense and Finance Ministries, with the latter rejecting a proposed 60 billion shekels in funding for military equipment used during recent conflicts with Iran.
The Finance Ministry stated that Israel’s military exhausted its ammunition reserves during confrontations with Iran and operations in Gaza, expenses not accounted for in the 2025 budget. It further accused the military of financial mismanagement.
Officials reportedly refused to allocate funds to restock Israeli army warehouses. The article questioned whether this would halt procurement of missile defense systems, drones, and armored vehicles-items crucial for replenishing air force and defense stockpiles.
The U.S. had previously acknowledged during Israel’s aggression against Iran-and Tehran’s retaliatory strikes-that Tel Aviv’s munitions reserves were depleting. The report warned that each day without this funding diminishes Israel’s capacity to engage in future conflicts.
