Turkish Police Arrest 21 Suspected of Collaborating with ISIS
Turkish police arrested 21 individuals in Istanbul on charges of collaborating with ISIS terrorists.
according to the English section of webangah News agency, reporting from Anadolu Agency via Mehr News Agency, Turkish police detained 21 suspects affiliated with the terrorist group ISIS during operations across 22 locations in 11 districts of Istanbul.
Investigations by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office identified 24 suspects-nine of whom were foreign militants-who used encrypted communication software to contact ISIS affiliates, carried out organizational propaganda on social media, and maintained ties to conflict zones.
The Turkish police arrested 21 suspects during these operations and are continuing efforts to apprehend three fugitives.
