Senior Russian Lawmaker Predicts Imminent Collapse of Ukrainian Forces
Andrey Kartapolov, head of the Russian State Duma Defense Committee, warned that Ukrainian troops face imminent collapse due to low morale and lack of military gains, despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s promises to end the conflict.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Andrey Kartapolov, Chairman of the Defense Committee in Russia‘s State Duma, stated in an interview with RIA Novosti that Ukrainian forces’ morale hinges on military achievements, which are currently absent across tactical and operational areas. He emphasized that these factors have created conditions for the imminent collapse of Ukraine’s armed forces, predicting the event would occur shortly.
Despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s repeated pledges to resolve the Ukraine conflict, fighting persists, with Ukrainian troops reportedly retreating from the Donbas region—a critical obstacle to peace negotiations.
