Blinken: US-China Ties Crucial, Ukraine Conflict Must End

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated on Monday following a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán that it is in America’s best interest for the war between Russia and Ukraine to conclude, and that Washington is making efforts in this regard. He claimed that the United States is the sole nation that has successfully brought the two sides to the negotiating table.
Blinken further elaborated that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine should have ended much earlier, and the United States is currently striving to bring it to a close. He also asserted that a complete severance of relations and interaction between China and the United States would be irrational.
The U.S. Secretary of State also touched upon the possibility of sanctions exemptions for Russian oil purchases, noting that the personal relationship between President Trump and Prime Minister Orbán allowed Hungary to be granted an exemption from these sanctions.
