Hamas Condemns Israeli Exile of Al-Aqsa Mosque Imam

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli regime has detained and exiled Sheikh Mohammed Ali Al-Abbasi, the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque, just before the advent of the holy month of Ramadan. The detention and exile of the Imam of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli regime have been strongly condemned by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas.
In a statement, Hamas denounced the move as a clear interference in the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque and an unacceptable violation against its imams. Hamas emphasized that the escalating desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, imposing restrictions on the entry of worshippers, preventing the execution of Ramadan programs, and the increasing incursions by settlers are dangerous interventions aimed at the Israeli regime’s efforts to gain control over the mosque and Judaize it.
The statement reaffirmed the invalidity of all actions by the occupying regime in the Palestinian territories, particularly in Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Hamas urged the Palestinian people to be present at Al-Aqsa Mosque and form a strong barrier against the plots targeting its identity. The movement also called upon the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the Arab and Islamic nations to take immediate action to protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from the danger of Judaization.
