US and UAE Officials Discuss Gaza Peace Plan

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on Friday that he held a “significant” meeting with his Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The discussion centered on the implementation of the second phase of President Donald Trump’s proposed peace plan for Gaza, as well as the operational details of a “Peace Council.”
The inaugural session of this body, named the “Gaza Peace Council,” convened on Thursday, February 19th, under the chairmanship of the U.S. President, with the participation of leaders and representatives from approximately 45 countries in Washington. President Trump, addressing the gathering which notably lacked any Palestinian representatives, stated, “Today is a great day, and a large number of leaders have attended the Peace Council meeting. Achieving peace is very difficult, but we will succeed. I appreciate the presence of the leaders here today; my relations with them are very good.”
