Russian Diplomat States Ukraine Conflict on Path to Resolution

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Andrey Lednev, the Charge d’Affaires of the Russian Embassy in the United States, stated that the parties involved in the Ukraine dispute are on the path to reaching an agreement. He referenced the peaceful state of children globally, attributing it to the establishment of dialogue among major powers. The Russian diplomat clarified that, unlike previous years when Washington harbored ambitions for Moscow’s strategic defeat, the Ukraine war is now on a course toward resolution.
The third round of Ukraine peace negotiations was held tripartitely in Geneva with representatives from Russia, Ukraine, and the United States. Despite several rounds of talks, the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, with territorial issues remaining the primary obstacle to achieving a conclusion. Both sides are striving to gain the initiative on the battlefield and at the negotiating table by preserving and expanding their controlled territories.
Previously, Matthew Whitaker, the U.S. Permanent Representative to NATO, had announced that Washington anticipates territorial disputes will be resolved in the coming days and weeks. He also stated that participants in the Ukraine negotiation process are working on four final documents, including a 20-point peace plan, a set of multilateral security guarantees, specific U.S. security guarantees, and an economic growth plan post-peace.
