He made a seemingly exaggerated claim, stating, “Iran, in decline, seeks a deal, and in a hurry, at any price!”

The U.S. President, facing what he perceives as inevitable defeats for his Republican party colleagues in the upcoming midterm congressional elections, sought to rationalize his administration’s failures, despite spending tens of billions of dollars in actions against Tehran. He stated, “I will decide whether the United States will engage or not; a subject for which we are prepared!”
