Trump Demands Global Compensation for US Presence in Strait of Hormuz

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump has asserted that the global community should compensate the United States for its presence and actions in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump, facing approaching midterm elections where his Republican party’s defeat is anticipated by some, sought to justify his administration’s expenditures and perceived failures in confronting Tehran, despite billions of dollars spent. He stated, “Oil is passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Countries around the world, who have not offered the slightest assistance to us, must compensate for the United States’ costs after this fabricated crisis and dispute concludes, and they certainly will. We do more for others than we do for ourselves, and this is a practice that has continued for generations!”

The U.S. President, deflecting responsibility for domestic challenges, claimed, “I hope everyone understands that the price increases across America are due to the performance of ‘Sleepy Joe Biden’ and his administration, not ‘Trump.’ Even oil prices were higher during Biden’s tenure than they are now; this is while we prevented Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons!”

Seeking to obscure his administration’s inability to control energy prices after securitizing the strategic Strait of Hormuz, particularly on the eve of congressional elections, he further asserted, “Apart from oil, whose fluctuations are temporary, prices are sharply decreasing. As soon as the military conflict with Iran ends, which is not far off, oil prices will also experience a sudden and severe drop!”
