ISIS Claims Responsibility for Attack on Syrian Regime Forces in Raqqa

The terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for an armed attack targeting a security checkpoint in Raqqa, northern Syria, which resulted in casualties among forces loyal to the Syrian regime. This incident marks the second attack in the region within two consecutive days.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the terrorist group ISIS has claimed responsibility for an armed attack against the Al-Sabahiya checkpoint in the city of Raqqa, located in northeastern Syria. This claim comes after a Syrian security source reported that at least four individuals affiliated with the Syrian regime forces were killed during the ISIS assault on the checkpoint in the western part of Raqqa. Two other members of these forces sustained injuries in the attack.

The Ministry of Interior for the Syrian regime stated that this is the second incident targeting their forces in the area over two consecutive days. The previous attack reportedly led to the death of one of the assailants. The terrorist group had previously issued threats against the Syrian regime forces.
