Trump’s Popularity Declines Amid Economic Discontent, BBC Arabic Analysis Reveals

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a BBC Arabic analysis of President Donald Trump‘s recent address to a joint session of Congress indicates that public opinion surveys reveal significant American discontent with his administration’s economic policies, despite his attempts to highlight economic successes.
Robert Rowland, a professor at the University of Kansas, described Trump’s consistent strategy of enumerating achievements while attacking critics, noting that his speeches are typically aimed at boosting popularity and outlining specific agendas. However, regarding immigration policies, polls suggest that the approach taken has been incorrect.
In line with this, the U.S. Supreme Court recently declared many of the tariffs imposed by Trump to be illegal, casting doubt on the American trade system. Trump’s economic and immigration promises are being made at a time when his standing in these two areas has weakened since his return to the White House, directly leading to a decline in his public approval.
