Medvedev: Attack on Iran is Shameless Aggression, Congratulates New Supreme Leader

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing TASS news agency, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council and former President of Russia, announced on Tuesday his sincere congratulations to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei on his selection as the new Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council further added in his message, “I am confident that your presence in this position will contribute to the further strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Iran, especially in confronting shameless armed aggression against Iran.”

The former Russian President also stated, “I understand that this approach will enable the continuation of effective cooperation between Moscow and Tehran on essential regional and international agenda issues, despite external pressures, to further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Iran.”
