Iran’s Air Defense Inflicts Significant Losses on US Drone Fleet

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CBS News in the United States has revealed in a report that Iran‘s air defense has managed to shoot down a significant number of advanced and expensive American drones, including MQ-9 models. This development highlights Iran’s defensive capabilities in confronting sophisticated Western military hardware.
The American network, citing Washington’s military officials, stated that the US military lost several of these strategic drones during confrontations with Iran. These aircraft are designed for sensitive missions involving espionage, surveillance, reconnaissance, and precision operations.
CBS further reported that, to date, 11 of these drones have been targeted and destroyed by Iranian forces, with an estimated total cost exceeding $330 million. This figure represents only a portion of the potential drone losses sustained by the United States and its allies in the region, as Western officials typically refrain from disclosing all their damages.
