Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces Condemn U.S. Strikes, Vow No Bloodshed Will Be in Vain

Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have issued a strong condemnation of recent U.S. airstrikes targeting their official positions across several Iraqi provinces, vowing that the blood of their martyrs will not be in vain and affirming their continued commitment to defending Iraq’s security and sovereignty.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq‘s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) has vehemently condemned what it described as “criminal aerial attacks” by U.S. aircraft that targeted its official headquarters in multiple provinces. The PMF stated that these strikes constitute a clear violation of Iraqi sovereignty and a dangerous transgression against the nation’s official security institutions.

In a statement released by its media center, the PMF detailed that the targeted headquarters are official entities operating within Iraq’s security framework and are fully coordinated with the Joint Operations Command. The organization reported that the attacks, which occurred across Diyala, Kirkuk, Anbar, Nineveh, Salah al-Din, Wasit, and Babil provinces, amounted to 32 airstrikes. These strikes have resulted in the martyrdom of 27 PMF fighters and the injury of 50 others, with nine martyrs and ten wounded reported from strikes occurring on the day of the statement.

The PMF asserted that the targeted locations played no role in targeting U.S. bases within or outside Iraq, and that the fallen fighters were engaged in their official duties defending Iraq and maintaining its security and stability. Some of the casualties were reportedly stationed at the borders to protect Iraq’s sovereignty and security.

The organization called on all political forces to adopt a decisive national stance and take concrete measures to halt these repeated attacks on Iraqi security forces. The PMF emphasized that these assaults directly undermine the country’s sovereignty and the dignity of its security forces. The statement concluded with a resolute declaration that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not be forgotten and that these aggressions will not deter the PMF from continuing its national and legal duty to defend Iraq and its people. The forces pledged to remain a steadfast bastion against terrorism and any entity threatening Iraq’s security, stability, and sovereignty.
