Yemen’s Ansarullah Leader Highlights Iran’s Steadfast Support for Palestinian Cause
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Seyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, delivered a significant speech commemorating the holy nights of Ramadan and the approaching International Quds Day. During his address, he focused on regional developments and underscored the persistent support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Palestinian cause.
Al-Houthi stressed the profound importance of International Quds Day, observed on the final Friday of Ramadan, as a reminder of the Islamic Ummah’s sacred and religious responsibility towards the paramount issue of Palestine. He highlighted that this day serves to recall the obligation of Muslims to confront the Jewish-Zionist danger, which has occupied Palestine, Jerusalem, and other Arab regions.
The Ansarullah leader elaborated on the existential threat posed by the Jewish-Zionist entity, which he stated is striving to destroy Al-Aqsa Mosque and establish a “Greater Israel” by occupying and dominating regional countries. He argued that this threat fundamentally targets Islam, Muslims, and Islamic holy sites. International Quds Day, he emphasized, is an occasion for the Islamic Ummah to awaken and rise to its sacred duties in opposition to this danger.
Al-Houthi credited Imam Khomeini with originating International Quds Day, calling for the centrality of the Jerusalem issue and a resolute stance from the Islamic world against the Jewish-Zionist enemy. He specifically praised the Islamic Republic of Iran for prioritizing the Palestinian issue early on and demonstrating its credibility and sincerity through its unwavering support in all forms and methods. He posited that only the free elements of the Islamic Ummah, who do not submit to the dictates of the enemies of Islam, can provide genuine support for the Palestinian cause.
He further stated that sincere support for Palestine is a measure of true freedom and deliverance from foreign dominance. Decades of events, he argued, have consistently revealed who has been truthful in their support for Palestine and who has not. He contended that these developments have clarified the reality to people, countering the deceptive propaganda and doubt-mongering spread by Zionist media outlets regarding the sincere position of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the free individuals within the Ummah.
Al-Houthi pointed out that Zionist propaganda organs have continuously attempted to deter the Islamic Ummah from embracing this cause and engaging with it positively. He added that these media outlets have strived to foster indifference within the Muslim world, leading to negligence and eventual oblivion of the Palestinian issue and its significance. He reiterated that Imam Khomeini’s initiative to designate the last Friday of Ramadan as International Quds Day was a highly successful and significant endeavor.
The Ansarullah leader reiterated that events over past decades and current happenings clearly illustrate who is truthful and who is deceptive regarding the Palestinian issue. He asserted that these developments have unveiled the truth amidst the propaganda and skepticism from Zionist media concerning the stance of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the free people of the Ummah. He affirmed that the Islamic Republic has practically demonstrated its sincerity concerning the Palestinian issue. He further stated that media and platforms affiliated with Zionism have consistently worked to prevent the Islamic Ummah from sympathizing with this cause and from reacting positively to it, while also attempting to induce apathy and lead to the forgetting of the Palestinian issue.
Moreover, al-Houthi articulated that the Zionist project aims for comprehensive regional occupation, identifying the Zionist enemy as a staunch adversary of the entire Islamic Ummah. He described the enemy’s criminal and malevolent plan as targeting all regional nations, with the intention of occupying the region and transforming it into a base for global influence. He noted that Zionism has successfully aligned Western nations, particularly the United States, with this project and is actively seeking to gain influence and recruit supporters within the Arab and Islamic world.
Al-Houthi emphasized that Arab nations are particularly in need of reviving the observance of Quds Day, as they are foremost among those threatened by Zionism. He stated that the region is currently at a juncture where the enemy’s ambitions and plans are more evident than ever. He pointed to official enemy statements regarding the establishment of a “Greater Israel” and the “reshaping of the Middle East” as clear indicators of their objectives, noting that discussions about altering the Middle East are nearly a daily occurrence.
