Israel Faces Troop Shortages Amid Heavy U.S. War Costs Against Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli military is facing a critical shortage of personnel, leading military and security circles within the regime to advocate for the recall of hundreds of thousands of reserve soldiers.
The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation reported, citing informed sources, that the military and security apparatus has requested the cabinet to approve the mobilization of 450,000 reserve military personnel.
Despite extensive media propaganda regarding its supposed power, the Israeli army has proven incapable of confronting Hezbollah forces. Hebrew daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported yesterday that Hezbollah has demonstrated capabilities exceeding initial predictions, even according to internal Israeli military assessments.
Hezbollah announced that its fighters targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in Tel al-Ajul, north of the occupied settlement of Kfar Abaril, for the second time. The Lebanese Hezbollah also stated that the Tel al-Khazan area in the town of Al-Adeisa and east of Khiam prison in southern Lebanon were targeted.

Media reports indicate that Israel’s air defense systems failed to intercept Iranian missiles, with one projectile impacting an area in occupied territory. Warning sirens were activated in dozens of locations in Tel Aviv and around Ben Gurion Airport. Hebrew media outlets also reported a new wave of missile attacks from Iran.

The Director of the White House National Economic Council stated that the U.S. has so far spent $12 billion on military operations related to Iran. This U.S. official did not provide further details on the expenditure. Previously, Tom Fletcher, the UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, warned of escalating crises in the region and a loss of control by those initiating the conflict (the United States and the Israeli regime), noting that daily costs for financing this war are reportedly reaching $1 billion.
