Emir of Qatar and King of Jordan Discuss Regional Developments, Urge Ceasefire

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Emir of Qatar and the King of Jordan have held high-level consultations in Doha, focusing on the volatile regional landscape and stressing the imperative to cease hostilities in the Middle East. The discussions, as reported by Al Jazeera and subsequently by Mehr News Agency, highlighted mutual concerns over the escalating tensions and ongoing military actions impacting the region.
In a statement released by the Qatari Amiri Diwan, it was confirmed that Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani engaged in discussions with King Abdullah II of Jordan regarding the prevailing regional situation, characterized by heightened tensions and continuous attacks. Both leaders underscored the critical necessity of halting all military actions that could potentially lead to a wider conflagration.
The Amiri Diwan further elaborated that Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and King Abdullah II expressed their opposition to attacks targeting Qatar, Jordan, and several other nations within the region. They jointly called for an immediate cessation of the ongoing warfare and a recommitment to diplomatic negotiations as the path forward.
