Serbian President Affirms Taiwan is Part of China

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić reiterated his country’s unwavering commitment to the One-China principle, stating that Taiwan is an integral part of China. His remarks underscore Belgrade’s consistent foreign policy stance on the matter.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated on Sunday that the island of Taiwan is a part of China.

In an interview with Zou Yun from CMG, the Serbian President emphasized his country’s firm adherence to the One-China principle. He characterized the issue of Taiwan as an internal Chinese affair, asserting that Serbia’s position remains clear and unaltered.

This declaration comes amidst ongoing warnings from Beijing to the United States and its Western allies regarding the inviolability of the One-China principle. China consistently cautions against any actions that could incite separatist movements in its constituent regions, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Tibet.

Despite these warnings, the United States, citing its Indo-Pacific strategy and aiming to curb China’s growing influence, has undertaken actions that escalate diplomatic tensions and raise concerns about a potential military confrontation between the two nations.
