Trump Accuses CNN of Fabricating News on Iran Deal

President Donald Trump has vehemently accused CNN of disseminating ‘fake news’ regarding recent reports about a supposed deal with Iran, asserting that the network deliberately misrepresented the agreement’s content.

Donald Trump, President of the United States, has accused CNN of publishing “fake news” in response to recent American media reports concerning a nuclear agreement with Iran. Trump posted a strong reaction on the social media platform “Truth Social” to reports suggesting that his agreement with Iran lacked nuclear provisions.

The U.S. President wrote in his post: “The alleged statement released by CNN, as the network well knows, is a lie and a fabrication.”

Trump noted that this false statement was linked to an anonymous news site from Nigeria, which CNN hastily picked up and published as credible news without verifying its source.

He continued: “CNN, this fake news media, claimed repeatedly today that the agreement with Iran does not address nuclear issues; this is while the text of the agreement explicitly states that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons!”

According to Trump, the agreement with Iran is replete with precise details examining various aspects of Iran’s nuclear file.

Iranian officials, however, have repeatedly emphasized their focus on ending the war at this stage and have stated that details of the nuclear issue are not being discussed. They contend that Trump’s and American media’s claims regarding the nuclear subject are baseless.
