Australian Activists File ICC Complaint Over Alleged Torture and Sexual Abuse by Israeli Forces

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a number of Australian activists involved in the global “Stand With Gaza” flotilla, which aimed to deliver aid to Gaza, have joined a complaint lodged with the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague. They claim to have suffered sexual abuse and torture during their detention by the Israeli regime.
Organizers of the flotilla stated that the submitted case includes survivor testimonies, medical reports, and official legal declarations gathered after Israel prevented the aid convoys from reaching Gaza in the spring of 2026.
The report alleges that approximately 430 activists were detained after their ships were intercepted by Israeli military personnel in international waters and subsequently deported to Istanbul. Some of them reported experiencing beatings, being fired upon with plastic bullets, and sexual harassment during their detention.
Lawyers involved in the case indicated that this evidence supports accusations of “war crimes, crimes against humanity, and torture,” contradicting the official narrative of the Israeli regime regarding the treatment of detainees.
Among the claims is also the injection of an “unknown substance” into one of the Australian activists, the nature and effects of which remain unclear.
The report also references Israel’s inclusion on a United Nations watchlist concerning sexual violence in conflicts, an assertion aligned with reports from human rights organizations.
