India’s Ambassador to Russia Highlights New Opportunities within BRICS Amidst Global Supply Chain Pressures

India’s Ambassador to Russia, Vini Kumar, has stated that burgeoning trade relations within the BRICS bloc offer significant new opportunities for member nations, particularly as global supply chains face considerable strain. Kumar made these remarks while India holds the rotating presidency of the group.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Vini Kumar, India’s Ambassador to Russia, has emphasized that trade relationships among BRICS members are creating new opportunities. He noted that cooperation within the BRICS framework can unlock significant new avenues for all member states, especially at a time when global supply chains are under pressure.

Ambassador Kumar highlighted that India is currently presiding over BRICS and has hosted over 150 meetings and events involving all member nations within the first five months of 2026. This active engagement underscores the group’s commitment to fostering collaboration.

BRICS is an intergovernmental organization and an emerging economic bloc dedicated to enhancing commercial, political, and financial cooperation among developing nations. Collectively, the group represents nearly half of the world’s population and contributes a substantial portion to the global Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
