Russia Advocates for De-escalation in Tehran-Washington Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has indicated that Washington and Tehran should continue their ongoing discussions, stressing that any future agreement must take into account the interests of Iran and its neighboring countries. Lavrov added that facilitating dialogue between Arab nations and Iran is a significant priority, and Russia has expressed readiness to assist in this process. Russia has developed and recently updated a security concept for the Persian Gulf region, which has been shared with the six member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council as well as Tehran. The Russian Foreign Minister further underscored that the complete abandonment of any future military approaches is a prerequisite for initiating these crucial dialogues.
