Hezbollah Engages Israeli Aircraft Amid Escalating Southern Lebanon Strikes

Southern Lebanon has witnessed continued Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling, resulting in casualties, while Hezbollah forces reported engaging Israeli aircraft with surface-to-air missiles.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a series of Israeli airstrikes and artillery bombardments targeted towns in southern Lebanon, resulting in fatalities and injuries. The Israeli military subsequently advised residents in northern occupied Palestine to seek shelter after detecting rocket fire originating from Hezbollah.

Lebanese civil defense reported that five individuals, including a medic, were killed and one person was injured in an airstrike that struck the town of Zabdine. Additionally, reports detail airstrikes on the towns of Tayr Dibba and Al-Shehabiya in the Tyre district, Maroun al-Ras in the Sidon district, and Mayfadoun in the Nabatieh district.

Hezbollah announced that its forces had intercepted several Israeli aircraft using surface-to-air missiles. These ongoing hostilities coincide with statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, who indicated that no ceasefire agreement with Lebanon is currently in place.
