Hezbollah Intercepts Israeli Hermes Drone Over Southern Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hezbollah announced on Saturday, June 6, 2026, that it had intercepted an Israeli drone. In a statement, Hezbollah detailed that at 13:50 local time, a surface-to-air missile was fired at an Israeli Hermes 450 drone over the town of Al-Shahabiya, causing the unmanned aerial vehicle to flee.
In a separate statement, Hezbollah reported targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers near the town of Qal’a ash Shaqif with artillery. Furthermore, the group stated that it had targeted an Israeli military vehicle in the town of Khiyam using a suicide drone, resulting in the vehicle catching fire.
Simultaneously, Israeli media outlets reported a security incident involving Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon, with injured or killed soldiers being transferred into occupied territories.
