Netanyahu Vows To Tighten Grip on Gaza, Targets Hamas Leadership

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Monday that Israel is tightening its siege on Hamas in Gaza, asserting control over a significant portion of the territory and vowing to eliminate the group’s senior leaders.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Monday that Israel would not permit Hezbollah to fire on Israeli territory or settlements, asserting that the country is fighting terrorism on all fronts.

Netanyahu claimed that the Israeli army, the internal security service (Shin Bet), and the police thwart hundreds of attacks annually along the contact line in the West Bank, though he acknowledged that not all could be prevented.

He also referenced an attack earlier that morning within occupied Palestinian territories, where an assailant entered the Kokhav Ya’ir area, killing one Israeli and injuring several others.

Regarding the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Prime Minister asserted that the Israeli army is tightening the siege on Hamas from all directions. Israel currently controls over 60 percent of Gaza’s territory, a figure he predicted would soon reach 70 percent.

Netanyahu concluded by stating that Israel will not allow Hamas to arm itself or harm them, and that their senior leaders will be targeted and eliminated.
