Russia’s Duma Demands End to Sanctions on Iran, Cuba, North Korea

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Vyacheslav Volodin, the Speaker of Russia‘s State Duma, announced on Wednesday that the legislative body is advocating for the termination of sanctions against Cuba, North Korea, and Iran. This call comes amidst Russia’s own experience with broad international sanctions, with Volodin highlighting that over 31,000 sanctions have been levied against Moscow. He described these restrictive measures as unacceptable.
Volodin further elaborated that these sanctions are implemented with the explicit aim of hindering the progress and growth of targeted countries. He emphasized that Russia, facing a significant number of sanctions itself, is therefore also demanding their removal for Cuba, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Iran. Additionally, Volodin noted the existence of resistance and obstacles that are being placed in the path of China’s development.
