Iranian Navy Seizes Two Vessels in Strait of Hormuz Amid Regional Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy announced that it has targeted and seized two vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The vessels were reportedly attempting to transit the strategic waterway. The action follows an announcement from the IRGC’s central headquarters stating that a new phase of U.S. attacks against Iran commenced earlier today, with strikes on several areas along the country’s southern coastline.
The central headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya further declared that, effective immediately, the Strait of Hormuz will be closed to all types of vessels, including oil tankers and commercial ships, due to insecurity in the region. The statement warned that any transit through the strait would be met with force.
