US Central Command Claims Interference with 139 Commercial Vessels

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has asserted that it has rerouted 139 commercial ships as part of an operation, while also claiming to have disrupted nine vessels since initiating a blockade of Iranian ports. CENTCOM also announced the seizure of another oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has claimed, through a released statement, that it has so far altered the routes of 139 commercial vessels within the framework of a so-called “maritime blockade.”

The command further alleged, in an effort to bolster the morale of its military personnel against Iran’s defensive forces, that it has incapacitated nine ships since the commencement of the blockade on Iranian ports.

CENTCOM announced on Wednesday that it had disabled another oil tanker in the Gulf of Oman on Tuesday, following violations of Iranian sanctions. The command stated that it targeted the engine room of the Palau-flagged oil tanker with precision munitions after its crew failed to comply with instructions.

Similar claims have been put forth by the command in recent days.
