Trump Denounces Leaked Iran Deal Details as False and Inaccurate

U.S. President Donald Trump has vehemently denied the specifics of a purported agreement with Iran that were recently leaked to the media, calling the published terms ‘completely false’ and unrelated to the actual, written understanding.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump, who had previously expressed satisfaction with a deal with Iran, has sharply reversed his stance. He has publicly questioned the details of this alleged agreement, dismissing them as inaccurate and fabricated.

In a recent statement posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump asserted that the conditions reported by “fake media” attributed to Iran bore no resemblance to the terms that were officially agreed upon in writing. This assertion comes amidst a lack of any official response from Iranian officials regarding the claimed finalization of a deal between Washington and Tehran.

Trump further elaborated in his message, which appeared to convey a sense of desperation, stating, “What the Iranians have said, including their weak and pathetic statement about reaching an agreement, is completely false.” The U.S. President adopted a diplomatic tone, accusing the Iranian side of dishonesty in their dealings. “The Iranians have no integrity in their dealings, and with them, there is no such thing as a good faith deal. Amazing!” he stated.

Notably, Trump’s remarks did not address the recent CENTCOM-attributed drone attack on an Indian oil tanker in the Sea of Oman. He instead commented, “Iran’s drone attack last night on Indian ships exiting the Strait of Hormuz was thwarted and is unacceptable.” In a concluding piece of advice to Iran, which seemed to reflect his own apparent state of confusion and indecision, Trump urged the Iranians to “get their act together as quickly as possible.”

This statement from Trump emerges as Mehr News Agency has published new details concerning a 14-article draft understanding between Iran and the United States. The key points of this draft include:

  1. Permanent and immediate cessation of hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon.
  2. U.S. commitment to non-interference in Iran’s internal affairs and respect for the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  3. Complete lifting of naval blockades within 30 days.
  4. U.S. commitment to withdrawing its forces from areas surrounding Iran.
  5. Reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within 30 days under Iranian arrangements.
  6. Suspension of sanctions on the sale of oil, petrochemical products, and derivatives, granting Iran full access to its financial resources.
  7. Requirement for the U.S. and its allies to present reconstruction plans for Iran amounting to at least $300 billion.
  8. A 60-day negotiation period to reach a final agreement based on nuclear issues and the complete lifting of primary, secondary, U.S., UN Security Council, and IAEA Board of Governors sanctions.
  9. Reiteration of Iran’s commitment under the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) not to produce nuclear weapons.
  10. During the negotiation period, the U.S. pledges not to deploy additional forces in the region and will not impose new sanctions.
  11. Unblocking of $24 billion in Iran’s frozen funds during the 60-day final negotiation period, with half of this amount to be made available to Iran before negotiations commence.
  12. Establishment of a monitoring mechanism for the implementation of the agreement.
  13. Final agreement to be ratified by a UN Security Council resolution.
  14. Final negotiations will not commence before the release of half of Iran’s blocked funds, the suspension of Iran’s oil sanctions, and the lifting of naval blockades. The final agreement will exclusively address the fate of enriched materials and enrichment, the lifting of sanctions, and Iran’s economic reconstruction program. Discussions regarding Iran’s missile program and support for resistance groups have been definitively removed from the agenda.
