Israel Alarmed by Unprecedented Egypt-Turkey Military Cooperation

Israel is facing new security challenges as the growing military proximity between Egypt and Turkey reshapes regional power dynamics, according to Hebrew media reports.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Hebrew newspaper Maariv has reported that the increasing military closeness between Egypt and Turkey is altering regional power equations and presenting Tel Aviv with new security challenges.

The report indicates that the two countries have commenced a joint air exercise across several Egyptian bases, a move described as unprecedented. This follows their first joint naval exercise in over 13 years, which took place just a few months prior.

Sources close to the ruling party in Turkey have suggested Ankara’s desire to establish a new regional strategy involving Egypt. In response, the United States has reportedly requested its political delegations in Cairo and Ankara to investigate the nature of these burgeoning relations. American intelligence services have recently observed a significant increase in the volume and level of cooperation between the defense ministries of Egypt and Turkey.
