The Israeli army further alleged that a missile launched by Hezbollah towards its forces in southern Lebanon was intercepted and destroyed. The Israeli military acknowledged that the missile was aimed at Israeli forces stationed in southern Lebanon but asserted that it was intercepted by defense systems.
