US Official Claims Strait of Hormuz Blockade to Be Lifted Friday Following Iran Deal

A U.S. official, speaking to CNN, asserted that the American military has been instructed to revoke the “illegal” blockade imposed on the Strait of Hormuz this Friday. The official indicated that this action would follow the official signing of an agreement with Iran, scheduled for the same day. Despite these claims, the U.S. official also suggested that the situation might evolve before Friday.

This development comes amid a history of broken commitments by the United States in previous regional agreements. Earlier, the Secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council issued a statement regarding the agreement to end the war between Iran and the United States. The statement announced that the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the leadership of its martyred leader, has achieved superiority against the American-Zionist enemy. Following the directives of the Supreme Leader (may God protect him), with the support of the people and the efforts of the combatants of Islam, a difficult and intensive multi-month negotiation period culminated in the finalization of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) concerning the end-of-war negotiations (Islamabad Talks) between Iran and the United States on the evening of June 14th, based on the resolution of the Supreme National Security Council.

According to the terms of the agreement, the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will cease immediately and permanently. Furthermore, the maritime blockade against Iran will be lifted instantly and in its entirety. The signing of this MOU is officially set to take place on Friday, June 19th.
