Hezbollah Chief Thanks Iran’s Parliament Speaker for Support Amidst Regional Tensions

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, Sheikh Naim Qassem, has conveyed profound gratitude to Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, for unwavering support of Lebanon and its resistance against Israeli military operations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Naim Qassem, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, has penned a letter to Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, expressing deep appreciation for Iran’s strong and supportive stance on Lebanon and its resistance. The letter highlights the crucial role of Iran’s position in compelling the Israeli regime to cease military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, as a fundamental component of the agreement between Iran and the United States.

The letter states, “Words are inadequate to express our deep gratitude for your resolute and supportive stances toward Lebanon, its people, and its resistance, aimed at obliging the Israeli regime to immediately and permanently halt military operations on all fronts – including Lebanon. This is stipulated as the first and primary article of the agreement between Iran and the United States, which has been linked to the cessation of war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

Qassem further elaborated that Ghalibaf has transformed the hope for an effective end to Israeli and American aggression against Lebanon into a reality, demonstrating to the world that Iran stands with justice, resistance, and the oppressed. He suggested that had other nations followed Iran’s path, the United States and Israel would not have acted with such impunity, and Zionist occupation would not continue to burden Palestine and Jerusalem.

Hezbollah’s Secretary-General emphasized Iran’s consistent provision of resources to Hezbollah, the resistance, and the Lebanese people without any demands in return, stating that Iran’s assistance is rooted in Lebanon’s choices and its capacity to liberate its land and heal its societal wounds. He also noted Iran’s direct confrontation with the Israeli regime, even at the cost of its own security, in response to the bombing of Beirut’s Southern Suburb, thereby buying severe repercussions that carry the risk of war against itself.

“I say with a loud voice: Iran is the symbol of honor and dignity,” Qassem declared. He extended thanks on behalf of Hezbollah, the Islamic Resistance, supporters within the Lebanese nation, martyrs – prominently mentioning the “Martyr of the Ummah, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah” – and the wounded and prisoners. He specifically thanked Ghalibaf and his accompanying team, including Dr. Abbas Araghchi.

Qassem also requested that the gratitude be conveyed to the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Khamenei, for his patronage and for keeping alive the blessings and support of “Martyr Imam Khamenei.” Additionally, he conveyed thanks to Dr. Pezeshkian, the esteemed President and a supporter of the resistance, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for its game-changing strength, the Army, and all official and popular activists.

He expressed particular gratitude to the great Iranian people, witnessing their enthusiastic presence in city squares across Iran, vociferously calling for sacrifices to save the resistance and its people. He concluded by thanking “loyal Iran.”
