Lebanese President Joseph Aoun Declares Support for Ceasefire, Welcomes International Aid
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has affirmed his country’s support for a ceasefire and welcomed assistance from any nation, including Iran, in achieving this goal. He emphasized that the government holds sole responsibility for negotiations.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated that Lebanon supports a ceasefire and welcomes contributions from any country, including Iran, that aids in its attainment.
President Aoun further elaborated that the government is responsible for all negotiations and that no other entity can assume this role.
He asserted that any agreement reached would be through Lebanese channels, not at their expense.
The Lebanese President also indicated that there are no concerns regarding civil peace, and anyone threatening it is merely attempting to intimidate others to retain power.
