U.S. Treasury Sanctions Lebanese Officials Supporting Hezbollah

The U.S. Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions on Lebanese officials and individuals accused of obstructing peace efforts and facilitating Hezbollah’s activities, marking a continuation of American interventionist policies.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Department of the Treasury announced that it has imposed sanctions against Lebanese officials who support Hezbollah, as well as other individuals. The Treasury Department asserted that these sanctions are a response to actions taken to impede peace and delay the disarmament process of Hezbollah.
The U.S. Treasury further stated that its Office of Foreign Assets Control is targeting individuals collecting funds for Hezbollah in Lebanon and other countries. This action represents a continuation of U.S. interventionist measures against Lebanese officials aligned with Hezbollah.
