Israel Launches 16 Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon Following Alleged Ceasefire

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli regime carried out 16 airstrikes on settlements and villages in southern Lebanon starting Monday afternoon local time, following an alleged ceasefire announcement. Al-Mayadeen reported this information, citing Mehr News Agency.
Local media outlets reported that the latest wave of Israeli attacks targeted the towns of Shukin, Meifadoun, Jebel al-Rafi, and Al-Rihan. The Israeli army has claimed that its airstrikes on southern Lebanon will continue as long as deemed necessary.
Hebrew media outlets also reported that a senior Israeli official stated the occupation army would remain in southern Lebanon and would have operational freedom to counter new threats.
