Diplomats Convene in Switzerland to Sustain Dialogue on US-Iran Understanding

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Bern announced that diplomats from several countries met today, Saturday, at a Swiss resort in an effort to sustain dialogue on an initial understanding between the United States and Iran to stop the war in Western Asia, as reported by Mehr News Agency, quoting Agence France-Presse.
The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs stated that diplomats are currently engaged in negotiations at the mountain resort of Bürgenstock, near Lucerne in central Switzerland, without providing further details.
A knowledgeable diplomatic source also informed Agence France-Presse that the negotiations taking place on Saturday were of a preliminary nature.
High-level discussions at the hotel complex were initially scheduled for Friday but were postponed due to the ongoing aggression by the Zionist regime in southern Lebanon, accompanied by ceasefire violations.
RTS claimed that technical delegations from the United States and Iran, as well as from Qatar and Pakistan acting as mediators, were present at these talks.
In a brief statement, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs declared: “Switzerland continues to provide a calm and reliable environment to facilitate negotiations at Bürgenstock regarding the implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. Diplomats from various countries currently present are continuing their efforts to maintain dialogue. No further information about the attendees or discussions can be provided.”
