Israeli Poll Reveals Widespread Belief in Iran’s Victory Amidst Security Concerns

A recent poll conducted by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem indicates that a significant majority of Israelis believe Iran emerged victorious from recent geopolitical developments, fueling widespread concern about the long-term security of the occupied territories.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, results from a survey involving 3,644 participants, conducted by the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in collaboration with the Agam Institute between June 17-20, offer a clear insight into public opinion following the agreement between the United States and Iran. The findings were published by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera.

The poll revealed that 92.1% of respondents believe Iran has either won or gained more from the recent conflict. Furthermore, 82.9% of Israelis believe that Israel’s long-term security has been compromised by these developments.

The survey indicated a strong consensus even among right-wing Zionists who support Benjamin Netanyahu, with 93.1% of them asserting that Iran was the victor.

There is widespread opposition within Israeli circles to the agreement between the United States and Iran, with 63.2% of participants expressing disapproval, while only 12.1% supported it. These concerns were further highlighted by the Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv.

According to the poll results published by Maariv, 63% of Israelis expressed worry about the future of the occupied territories, citing the agreement between the United States and Iran and related political shifts. The newspaper suggests these concerns are also linked to statements made by Trump regarding Iran’s right to possess ballistic missiles, as well as developments concerning Lebanon and the potential for Israel to withdraw to international borders.
