Fragile Calm Returns to Nabatieh in Southern Lebanon Amidst Cleanup Efforts

A fragile calm has settled over the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh, as authorities urge residents to delay their return to homes and villages while demining and cleanup operations are underway following recent escalations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a fragile calm is currently prevailing in the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon, as reported by a correspondent for Al-Manar network, citing information published by the Mehr News Agency.

Officials in Nabatieh have advised Lebanese citizens to exercise patience and delay their return to their homes and villages until demining and cleanup operations are completed.

Concurrently, some residents of southern Lebanese villages have begun returning to their homes as civil defense teams commenced their efforts to locate missing persons.

The process of clearing debris and reopening damaged routes has also reportedly begun.

Despite reports indicating an agreement on a ceasefire in Lebanon, the Israeli regime significantly intensified its bombing of various areas in the southern part of the country in recent days.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, in response to the ceasefire violations in Lebanon, has implemented deterrent measures, including actions related to the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has repeatedly emphasized that a key condition for any agreement with the United States is the cessation of hostilities on all battlefronts, particularly in Lebanon.
