Netanyahu Vows to Prevent Iran’s Nuclear Armament Amidst Regional Tensions

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and asserted Israel’s ongoing military presence in Lebanon, Gaza, and Syria, claiming significant degradation of Hezbollah’s capabilities.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strongly asserted that Israel will not permit Iran to obtain nuclear weapons. Speaking amidst ongoing regional tensions, Netanyahu also emphasized Israel’s continued occupation of Lebanese, Gazan, and Syrian territories, claiming significant successes in degrading Hezbollah’s military infrastructure and missile capabilities. He asserted that Israeli forces had prevented Hezbollah’s Radwan forces from infiltrating the Galilee.

Netanyahu further stated that Israel would maintain its presence in designated security zones in Lebanon for as long as necessary to protect its citizens. He distinguished the conflict as being against Hezbollah rather than Lebanon itself, suggesting that a potential agreement with Lebanon could be reached once the threat posed by Hezbollah is neutralized.

The Israeli Prime Minister also voiced his opinion that the collapse of the Iranian regime is a matter of time and reiterated Israel’s commitment to remaining in security zones within Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza. He also commented on his relationship with former U.S. President Donald Trump, stating that while they sometimes agree and sometimes disagree, both leaders prioritize their respective national interests.

Netanyahu made a claim regarding Iran’s nuclear program, stating, “We stopped the efforts to eliminate Israel from existence and destroyed Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.” He elaborated by saying, “We prevented Iran from achieving nuclear weapons, and Iran will need a very long time to recover, and may never recover.”
