Qatar Emphasizes Progress in Iran-US Negotiations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, in data released by the Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Qatar‘s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, emphasized that joint efforts and cooperation continue with U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance and the country’s special envoy Jared Kushner to bring about a conclusion to the negotiations between Iran and the United States.
Following the conclusion of the Lucerne Summit in Switzerland, Qatar and Pakistan issued a joint statement agreeing to establish a “Supreme Committee” to oversee the mediation process politically. A mechanism has also been created to continue technical negotiations at the expert level.
The statement indicated that the senior negotiators from both sides are obligated to submit periodic reports to this committee. Working groups that have been formed will primarily focus on the “nuclear file” issue.
