US Claims Strikes on Iranian Rocket Launchers Near Strait of Hormuz

A US official claimed American forces targeted two Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps rocket launchers on Larak Island, alleging they were preparing to fire sea mines into the Strait of Hormuz. The US also stated it has completed mine-clearing operations in the waterway.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a US official informed Al Jazeera that American forces conducted strikes on two Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) rocket launchers located on Larak Island. The official asserted that the Iranian rocket launchers were in the process of preparing to launch sea mine-carrying missiles toward the Strait of Hormuz.

The US official further claimed that American forces have also finalized operations to clear mines from international shipping lanes within the Strait of Hormuz. He emphasized that American forces are closely monitoring the region and remain prepared to take action to safeguard the free flow of trade and navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
