Medvedev: Russia’s Opponents Aim to Erase Nation from World Map, Warns of Armenian Consequences

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council, announced on Sunday that Moscow will assess the true intentions of Armenian officials based on their practical actions, rather than their statements. He asserted that severing ties between Yerevan and Moscow would lead to significant consequences for the Armenian people, with the European Union showing no regard for this issue. Moscow hopes that the Pashinyan party will heed the views of the majority of Armenian voters, as confrontation and settling scores with political opponents have become a defining characteristic of the current ruling team in Armenia. Medvedev suggested that the West views Armenia as a tool to counter Russia and is interested in clearing the country’s political scene, alleging unprecedented Western interference in Armenia’s election campaign, which has placed the state apparatus under their direct control.
The Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council further commented that the current period represents the most challenging phase in Russia’s contemporary history. He noted that the United Russia party is entering the upcoming elections with a strong team and will continue to pursue the missions set by the President, including achieving victory. He predicted that adversaries will attempt to disrupt the election campaign process to destabilize Russia, asserting that Russia’s unity is more robust than Western civilization.
Medvedev added that Western support for Kyiv has resulted in the practical collapse of Ukraine, and Russian armed forces are standing against a group of tenacious and malicious enemies. He reiterated that Russia’s opponents are aiming for the nation to be erased from the world map, stating that without victory in the special military operation, there will be no security for Russia.
